Marc worked tirelessly and completed the job in one day!
Marc responded to my email enquiry with a quick courteous phone call. Having explained my dilemma Marc gave me an approximate costing over the phone. On the basis of this we arranged a visit for a firm quotation. To my surprise , and delight I might add , Marc came up with a much better plan at about a third of the phone estimate.
The day was booked , Marc & Ross turned up on time, worked tirelessly and completed the job in one day. I now have a well insulated loft with a good area of floor boarding for storage.

We recently moved to a bungalow near Barnstaple, having had to leave a lot of “clutter” from our old house in storage. The new home had a large loft which was mainly unboarded. After some research we realised that simply installing boards to the rafters would simply compress the 280mm of existing rockwool insulation making it much less inefficient. Research indicated that we needed a raised floor (sometime called floating flooring). We spoke to Marc Bruniges of Above & beyond Storage Solutions about the Loft Zone system which seemed ideal.
He and his son came to give us a quote for the floor installation and a much improved loft ladder. He spent an hour at the property talking to us about options and assessing the work needed, but also giving good advice about maintaining ventilation to keep the loft timber in good condition. He gave us a very good quote for the extensive flooring (over 80 sq. metres), patching of the insulation where it was deficient, removal of a redundant water tank, disposal of old planks and redundant woodwork and the new ladder. All his work comes with a 5 year guarantee.
Work was booked for 4 days. At all times Marc kept us informed of progress and consulted about how to ensure various stopcocks etc remained accessible. He and his son arrived promptly at 9 each day and worked extremely hard. We had expected significant dust but there was very little and they cleaned up after themselves each day. The work ended up taking 3 full days, but Marc is an absolute perfectionist and wanted to ensure he had factored in enough time to deal with any unanticipated issues.
We now have a fantastic 85 sq. m useable loft space and can begin to fill it with all our “clutter”, boxes, old pictures and other stuff.
We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Marc and Above & Beyond to anyone considering high quality and insulation friendly loft storage.

I recently made the decision to employ Above & Beyond Storage Solutions to install raised loft boarding and insulation into our home and what a good decision that was. Marc Bruniges came some distance to do the work and has left us with an immaculately installed raised boarded system that is almost too nice to use!
Great installation with a really professional finish including a new loft hatch and ladder all completed in two days to a very high standard and with no mess and all waste materials removed.
